Civil law
In Russia, “civil law” represents a branch of law that regulates proprietary and non-proprietary relations. Thus, civil law regulates such social relations as interchange of goods for money (buying and selling, supply, transportation of goods, property leases, rents, etc.), other economic relations connected with the transfer of rights to a piece of property (donations, free use and etc.), intellectual property and personal property relations (e.g. the relations arising in relation to such intangible items as the name, honor, reputation and dignity).
